According to the Government of India, the entire expenditure of the girl child from birth to her tenth grade education is borne by the Government of India.
If a girl child is born in a family below the poverty line, then she is given financial assistance of ₹500 by the Government of India during birth. At the same time, the government of India bears the entire cost of the girl’s education till the tenth grade.
