World cruise royal caribbean : After 275 days at sea (and in ports), passengers on the Ultimate World Cruise returned.
The last time a group of individuals returning from nine months at sea received this much attention, there was significantly more scurvy. The viral Ultimate World Cruise, operated by Royal Caribbean, departed in December and returned to port in Miami, Florida, yesterday after visiting 60+ countries in 275 days.
When the Serenade of the Seas set sail, passengers became instant celebrities as onlookers ogled their TikToks and pondered why anyone would pay $60,000 to $100,000+ to live in what appeared to be a reality TV show.
It wasn’t all pleasant sailing: the route had to be changed, and an elderly passenger died (natural causes were confirmed). Despite expectations that interpersonal conflict would dominate the trip, the main issue passengers faced in the end was getting all of their souvenirs home.
Adita Larson told the Washington Post that she carried six large suitcases and a trunk on the vacation and went home with 20 bags.
Luggage Forward, a service offered to passengers, reported that it sent approximately 1,000 bags throughout the voyage.
