Woman dies of snakebite in Bakhri


Bakhri / Begusarai : A case of the death of a newly married woman due to snakebite has come to light on Sunday night. The incident occurred in Shadipur Mushari village of Bakhri police station area. The deceased woman has been identified as Sangam Kumari, the 20-year-old newly married daughter of Gandori Sada of the same village. According to the information received, the deceased woman was married a year ago at her in-laws' village in Bhadas village of Khagaria district. She had come to her maternal home a few days back from her in-laws' house.

Where on Sunday night after having dinner, all the family members went to sleep. Meanwhile a snake came and bit her. Thereafter the family got her exorcized and when her condition did not improve, she was being taken to PHC. Then the said woman died on the way, after which there was panic among the family members. Information regarding the incident was given to the in-laws. Where they took the dead body of the woman with them to Bhadas.
