Woman dies of snakebite in Bakhri

Bakhri / Begusarai : A case of a woman's death due to snakebite has come to light in Bakhri for the second consecutive day. According to the information received, the deceased, Priti Kumari, wife of Deepak Sharma, resident of Ward 16 Rampur of Bakhri Nagar Parishad, was sweeping the house on Tuesday morning, when a poisonous snake bit her leg. The woman informed the family members about this.

The family members hurriedly admitted the woman to Bakhri PHC for treatment. Where the doctors declared her dead after treatment. On receiving the news of death, the family members started crying inconsolably. On receiving the information, SDPO Kundan Kumar and ASI Ravindra Prasad of Bakhri police station reached the PHC with the police force. Meanwhile, the woman's maternal family took the body with them to Padoda village of Chhoudahi police station area.
