Those who want to take admission in IITs have to first clear both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced. Around 10 lakh students had appeared for the exam. Only 2.5 lakh students who clear JEE Main are eligible to appear for JEE Advanced.
After getting admission in IITs, one can pursue graduation in Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering and many other subjects. They get jobs according to their education.
If a student of IIT is a graduate in computer science and IT, then he gets a job in the IT sector. Engineering students work for Coding, Designing & Testing Programmes and Computer Applications. When someone becomes an IT manager, he creates a database for computer-related applications. If someone has done mechanical engineering, they work in a manufacturing firm.
Apart from this, those who study in IITs are also taught natural language processing and machine learning. The syllabus is prepared in such a way that training is given to become a good problem solving engineer. There are a total of 23 IITs in India which include old and new IITs. The number of old IITs in India is 7.
Let us tell you that in January 2022, more than 60 students of IIT Delhi had received a package of more than Rs 1 crore annually. Also, a student of IIT-BHU was given a job at an annual salary of Rs 2 crore.
The highest salary package during the new placements, which started from December 2022, is Rs 4 crore per annum. This package has been given to 3 students. These students are from IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay and IIT Kanpur. 25 students of IIT Madras have also been offered an annual salary package of more than 1 crore.
