Ways to avoid heat stroke – Dr. Kundan Kumar


Naokothi / Begusarai : Due to the increasing heat and heat wave, normal life has been disrupted. Many are suffering from heat stroke. Ayurveda doctor Dr Kundan Kumar said that avoid going out between 10 am and 4 pm when the sun is the strongest. If you have to go out, then use an umbrella, hat and sunglasses. Dehydration is a major cause of heat stroke. Drink plenty of liquids like water, lemonade, buttermilk, lassi, watermelon juice and coconut water throughout the day. Bathe or sponge with cold water at least twice a day. Put curtains on windows and doors. Use fans and air conditioners. Hang wet clothes, which will increase the humidity in the air. Avoid heavy food and alcohol. Exercise regularly. Take care of the elderly, children and sick people. These people are more vulnerable to heat stroke. Do not drink cold water immediately when you are very hot. Symptoms of heat stroke include high fever, headache, dizziness, fatigue, excessive sweating, muscle cramps, nausea, vomiting and fainting. If the person suffers from heat stroke, immediately take him to a cool place. Dress him in loose clothes. Sponge with cold water. Give him lemon water to drink. If the fever does not subside or there is a state of unconsciousness, contact a doctor immediately.
