Vivo X300 Series Set for Imminent China Launch with Focus on Slim Design and Advanced Camera
New Flagship Lineup to Feature Dimensity 9500 SoC, Zeiss Telephoto Lens, and Android 16-Based OriginOS 6
SHENZHEN – October 7, 2025 – Vivo is gearing up to unveil its highly anticipated X300 series in China next week, with the smartphone maker steadily releasing key specifications ahead of the official debut. The upcoming flagship lineup, comprising the Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro, promises a blend of powerful performance, innovative camera technology, and a sleek, lightweight design.
One of the latest revelations from Vivo confirms the slim profile of both models, which will measure 7.95mm thick. While the company is touting a “lightweight design” for enhanced handling, it’s worth noting that these won’t be the slimmest phones to hit the market this year, with competitors like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and iPhone Air boasting even more svelte dimensions at 5.8mm and 5.64mm, respectively.
Under the hood, both the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro are confirmed to be powered by the cutting-edge MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC, positioning them among the first handsets to feature this flagship chipset. This move underscores Vivo’s commitment to delivering top-tier performance for its premium offerings.
Photography enthusiasts will be particularly interested in the camera setup. Both devices will come equipped with a Zeiss 2.35x telephoto zoom lens on the rear. Adding to its photographic prowess, Vivo has teased the separate availability of a teleconverter designed to attach to the rear camera unit. This accessory will allow users to adjust the focal length of the impressive 200-megapixel telephoto periscope camera, offering enhanced versatility for capturing distant subjects.
On the display front, the standard Vivo X300 will sport a 6.31-inch 8T LTPO OLED BOE screen, promising vibrant visuals and smooth performance. The Pro variant will feature a larger 6.78-inch flat display, catering to users who prefer a more expansive viewing experience.
Powering these devices will be robust batteries, with recent reports suggesting the Vivo X300 will pack a 6,040mAh battery, while the Pro variant will carry an even larger 6,510mAh battery. Both handsets are also expected to support 90W wired fast charging, ensuring quick power-ups.
Software-wise, the Vivo X300 series will run on the new Android 16-based OriginOS 6 straight out of the box. OriginOS 6 is set to be unveiled in China on October 10, just three days before the Vivo X300 series’ debut. For the Indian market, the new user interface will launch on October 15. OriginOS 6 is expected to bring significant design improvements along with a suite of new artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled features, promising a more intuitive and intelligent user experience.
