Tribute meeting organized in memory of late CPI leader Pradeep Rai


Teghra, Ashok Kumar Thakur: A tribute meeting was organised in the memory of former state council member of Communist Party of India and former zonal minister of Teghra Comrade Pradeep Rai in his native village Gaura Do Mushari under the chairmanship of zonal minister Parmanand Singh. In the programme, leftist leaders and leaders of other parties paid tribute by garlanding the picture of CPI leader Pradeep Rai.

Addressing the program, State Secretary of Communist Party of India Ramnaresh Pandey said that Pradeep Rai was associated with politics since his student life. He always remained the center point of Begusarai's politics. With his death, the party and society have lost a great son who fought for the rights of the poor. Former MP Shatrughan Singh said that Comrade Pradeep Rai struggled all his life not only for the Communist Party but also for the progress of Dalits, backward, laborers and farmers of the society.

In her address, former MLC Usha Sahni said that Pradeep Rai's death is a big loss for the society and said that Pradeep Rai's name has been inscribed in golden letters as a strong leader of the communist movement as well as the literacy movement. MLA Ramratan Singh said that Pradeep Rai always spent his life in the upliftment of the poor and Dalits of the society.

Meanwhile, Diler Afghan said that Comrade Pradeep Rai left his job at the Fertilizer factory, sacrificed his personal interests and jumped into the fight for social and political change and he played an important role in the formation of the party. Anil Kumar Anjan, Pratap Narayan Singh, Satyanarayan Mahato, Prahlad Singh, Barauni Zone Minister Arvind Singh, Ramchandra Paswan of Bhagwanpur, Zone Minister Bhushan Singh of Bachhwara, RJD leader Dharmendra Patel, Kamdev Yadav, Janardan Yadav, District Councilor Ram Prakash Paswan, Senior Advocate Ganesh Prasad Singh, Rajendra Chaudhary, State President of Consumer Protection Committee Sanjeev Bharti, Rajkumar Azad of Human Rights Organization, Barauni Assistant Zone Minister Naveen Kumar etc. addressed the condolence meeting, while Barauni Block Literacy Secretary Ashok Paswan, Teghra Block Literacy Secretary Ashok Kumar Thakur, Julm Singh, Sanatan Singh, Ravindra Kumar, former Mukhiya Ashok Singh, Advocate Pramod Singh, Shashi Bhushan Bhardwaj, Pradeep Kumar Chintu, JDU Block Chief General Secretary Avinash Kumar, Congress leader Brajkishore Chaudhary, CPM leader Ramesh Singh, besides hundreds of leaders and workers paid tribute. The condolence meeting was conducted by farmer leader Dinesh Singh. Thousands of leaders and workers of the Communist Party of India from the district and block area attended the condolence meeting.
