Vande Bharat trains: Several Vande Bharat trains are running across the country. Vande Bharat is known for covering more distance in less time. The 49th Vande Bharat train of the country will be special for passengers. Yes, preparations are underway for the operation of the 49th Vande Bharat train.
It will be run on such a route that passengers will feel as if they are on a trip to Europe. In fact, 38 tunnels and 927 bridges have been built on this route. More than half of the total 272 km route will be covered by tunnels and bridges. Travellers will be filled with excitement. That is why this path is being described as a beautiful journey from heaven.
The Indian Railways has informed that the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway link is ready and the country’s 49th Vande Bharat train will run on it. This is the first such Vande Bharat train in the country, in which 8 coaches are being installed. The entire route of 272 km will be electrified. The Railways has also completed trial run of 15 km between Banihal and Khari railway stations in Ramban district.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has given a big update about this railway link. He has said that the entire route will be ready by January 2024, soon after which the Vande Bharat train will start running from Jammu to Srinagar. The Railway Minister has also trialled the world’s highest railway bridge built on this track. A repair factory has been set up in Budgam for these trains, while engineers are being given special training.
Why is this special?
This route will be counted among the most special train journeys of the country. The biggest reason for this is that the train will cross about 38 tunnels on the entire route. The total length of these tunnels is 119 km, out of which one tunnel (T-49) is 12.75 km long, which is considered to be the longest tunnel in the country. Not only this, 927 bridges will also come on the way, the total length of which is considered to be 13 kilometers.
