Rex airlines flights : Rex airlines flights That is on top of the fact that the Rex cabin staff is the most beautiful of them all. When the predicted turbulence causes you to question the massive 36-seater aircraft, the crew is always ready and calm.
They make you forget that certain Rex aircraft have to land only 15 minutes outside of Griffith to drop people off in Narrandera first – I thought this was standard flight procedure for years! They have also managed to keep numerous circling planes from landing at Griffith’s small airstrip owing to cloudy circumstances.
In the worst-case scenario, the planes must return to Sydney – even the prime minister’s jet failed to land during his visit – but for them, it is all part of the job.
Aside from his qualities, Rex was a key reason I chose Sydney as my home base, knowing that I could always get a last-minute trip to see my parents, siblings, dogs, grandparents, and friends.
My colleague Jordyn, who is from Merimbula, a small seaside town on New South Wales’ extreme south coast, has had a very similar experience.
She did not possess a car for the first two years she lived in Melbourne, an eight-hour trip away, after moving there to study at university in 2014. Rex was critical in getting home to visit her family.
Rex has entered voluntary administration. What happens next for the troubled regional airline?
She claims that for many Australians, Qantas occupies a particular place in their hearts and brains. But for many regional and rural Australians, Rex, not Qantas, occupies that area. Like me, she is sad that Rex may no longer be a possibility.
“Our Heart’s In The Country” is Rex’s slogan. The words are on the sides of the majority of its planes, and they have even composed a song about them. It has been flying our physicians and medical professionals to Griffith on a weekly basis for several years. Without Rex, regional healthcare systems would very likely have failed.
And, even if it is somewhat more expensive than other alternatives, Rex will always be my first pick, regardless of where I travel. People who live in the same region should always have this option.
