Mouthwatering Mushroom Masala – A Hearty Indian Curry

🍄 Mushroom Masala Recipe

📋 Ingredients:

For the curry:

  • Mushrooms – 200 grams (cleaned and sliced)

  • Onions – 2 (finely chopped)

  • Tomatoes – 2 (pureed)

  • Ginger-Garlic paste – 1 tbsp

  • Green chili – 1-2 (finely chopped)

  • Oil – 2-3 tbsp

  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Coriander-cumin powder – 1 tsp

  • Red chili powder – to taste

  • Garam masala – ½ tsp

  • Salt – to taste

  • Water – as needed

  • Fresh coriander – for garnish


👨‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.

  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.

  5. Add turmeric, coriander-cumin powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.

  6. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium heat.

  7. Add a little water if needed and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

  8. Finally, add garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander.


🍽️ Serving Suggestion:

Serve hot with roti, naan, paratha, or jeera rice. A side of salad or raita makes it even better!
