Railway Station: There are some trains that run under the Indian Railways that are telling its story and there are many railway stations that are leaving behind the comforts of the airport. But in such a golden era of Indian Railways there is one such railway gate of Bihar about which you will be surprised to know.
The incident took place in Siwan district of Bihar. The guard and driver of the train have to stop the train to close and open the railway gate. But your mind will be boggled as to why this is done because the railways has come up with many modern technologies
There is such a strange railway gate in Bihar’s Siwan district that there is no gateman to open and close it but only the loco pilot and guard of the train work. This railway gate is Ramapali Railway Crossing (Phatak) of Maharajganj subdivision of the district. It takes a lot of effort to get the train out of here. The driver stops the train before it reaches the railway station. When the crossing is completed the train is stopped again and the guard gets down and opens the gate. Then he moves on.

This railway gate is located on the Maharajgunj-Masrakh railway section. It is a single line. A limited number of trains run on this route. People of Maharajgunj and Mashrakh operate on this route there is a railway gate here due to a very small number but the guard has not been deployed. Therefore keeping in mind the safety the train driver and guard have been doing the work of opening and closing the railway gate for many years. Therefore this matter still haunts the big works of Indian Railways.
What locals say
The residents here say that how much money is spent by the railways in this way but the gateman is not appointed at this railway gate of Maharajgunj. Even after several representations to the railway authorities no action has been taken. The local people know about it but the new people are surprised to see it.
Ashok Kumar public relations officer of the North Eastern Railway Extension Division said that this is how it happens in the One Train System. When the train moves from one station to another only then the signal of the other train is given. There is no fault of the railway employee in this and there is no train accident. Passengers travelling and those crossing the railway crossing are also safe.
