“Happy Gilmore 2” is running an open casting call for New Jersey “locals.”
Grant Wilfley Casting, Inc. sent a casting call early this month, searching for extras for an upcoming Netflix feature.
“Happy Gilmore 2” is filming in New Jersey.
The film will film scenes in Bergen, Essex, Monmouth, Morris, and Somerset counties.
Shooting dates will be scheduled from September to November.
“It’s been nearly 30 years since we saw Happy Gilmore, the long-driving hero who won the Tour Championship in 1996. “Now, we finally get to catch up with him in a new sequel,” says a Netflix press release promoting the movie. “That’s correct, Adam Sandler is returning to the golf course as Happy Gilmore, and he’s taking his thunderous slap shot with him. “No word on any alligators.”

Interested extras can create a Grant Wilfley Casting profile or send an email to [email protected] with the subject “NJ LOCAL.”
Applicants will have to provide the following:
- Name
- SAG-AFTRA Union Status
- Telephone number
- Which counties are you willing to work in?
- Are you over 18? If not, provide the parent’s name and child’s age.
- A current, clean photograph of oneself
According to the casting request, no prior experience is required. Actors in the SAG-AFTRA union will be paid $216 for an eight-hour day, while non-union compensation is $176 for ten hours.
