Donald trump apprentice movie First Look at Donald Trump Biopic The Apprentice Released Amid Controversy

Donald trump apprentice movie : The first preview clip for the upcoming Donald Trump biopic, “The Apprentice,” has just been released. This new film explores Trump’s early years in the real estate world. It offers a look at his journey to becoming a prominent figure in New York City.

The clip, which is about a minute long, features actor Sebastian Stan portraying a young Donald Trump. In this scene, Trump is in a car driving through New York City with his mentor and attorney, Roy Cohn, played by Jeremy Strong. The moment shows Trump taking a call from a reporter for an exclusive interview.

During the phone call, Trump discusses his ambitious plans to acquire the Commodore Hotel, a major real estate project at the time. He tells the reporter, “I intend to acquire The Commodore. I’m planning on making it the best and the finest building in the city, maybe the country.” Trump even goes further, saying he aims to make it “the finest building in the world.”

Cohn, sitting next to Trump, gestures and mouths words to help guide Trump’s responses during the interview. The scene is meant to showcase Trump’s confidence and grand vision for his business ventures.

“The Apprentice” is directed by Ali Abbasi, an Iranian Danish filmmaker. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May, where it received an eight-minute standing ovation. Despite the positive reception, it did not win any awards at the festival.

However, the film has faced significant criticism from Trump’s team. Steven Cheung, Trump’s communications director, has called the movie “pure fiction” and claimed it sensationalizes falsehoods. In response, Trump’s legal team sent a cease-and-desist letter to block the movie’s release. They also threatened legal action over what they claim are “blatantly false assertions.”

Due to these challenges, the filmmakers have launched a Kickstarter campaign called “Release The Apprentice.” The goal is to raise funds to support the film’s distribution and promotional efforts. The campaign aims to raise $100,000 to cover legal fees, campaign expenses, and marketing costs.

The Kickstarter page highlights the difficulties the film has faced, stating, “Our distribution was blocked. We were hit with a cease and desist from Trump’s lawyers. Major media companies were afraid to show you this movie.” The page describes the situation as a David versus Goliath struggle and encourages supporters to help #ReleaseTheApprentice.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the Kickstarter campaign has raised over $39,000. The film is scheduled for release in the U.S. and Canada on October 11, just ahead of the November election.

Despite the controversies and legal battles, “The Apprentice” aims to offer an unfiltered look at Donald Trump’s rise to prominence. The film’s promoters hope that it will be seen by as many people as possible, despite the challenges they face.

For those interested in supporting the film or learning more, the Kickstarter campaign offers a way to get involved and contribute to the effort to see “The Apprentice” in theaters.
