Donald trump apprentice movie First Clip from Controversial Released Ahead of Election

Donald trump apprentice movie : The upcoming Donald Trump biopic, “The Apprentice,” has just shared its first teaser clip, heightening anticipation before its fall release. Directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Ali Abbasi, the film stars Sebastian Stan as a young Donald Trump and Jeremy Strong as his powerful lawyer and mentor, Roy Cohn.

“The Apprentice” aims to delve into Trump’s early career in New York real estate during the 1970s and 1980s. The film’s distributor, Briarcliff Entertainment, released an exclusive clip on Tuesday (September 3), offering a glimpse into the movie’s portrayal of Trump.

In the clip, viewers see Stan’s portrayal of Trump sitting in the back of a town car with Strong’s Cohn. Cohn is seen handling a phone call with a reporter, trying to secure an exclusive interview for Trump. “About a hundred reporters were crawling up my ass to get this interview and I gave you the exclusive,” Cohn says, clearly frustrated, before handing the phone to Trump.

As Trump speaks to the reporter, Cohn coaches him from the background to use more dramatic language. Trump, who has just settled a racial discrimination lawsuit, tells the reporter that he plans to acquire the Commodore Hotel. “I’m planning on making it the best and the finest building in the city – maybe the country,” he says. Following Cohn’s instructions, Trump adds, “in the world.”

Trump boasts about the hotel being “the finest building in the world; it’s gonna be a spectacular hotel, absolutely spectacular, first class.” When asked about his drive and ambition, Trump responds, “I’ve got flair, and I’m smart. So I think that’s gonna make me successful.” He also adds a note about staying humble before Cohn grabs the phone and ends the conversation abruptly.

The film’s release has been controversial from the start. After its debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, “The Apprentice” faced significant hurdles in finding a distributor. Last week, Tom Ortenberg’s Briarcliff Entertainment acquired the film, providing a path to release after initial struggles.

The film is reported to include several unflattering scenes, including Trump using drugs and undergoing cosmetic surgeries. The most contentious scene shows Trump raping his first wife, Ivana. Ivana had accused Trump of sexual assault in a 1989 divorce deposition but later retracted the allegation in 2015.

Following the Cannes screening, Trump’s campaign sent a cease-and-desist letter, demanding that the film not be distributed. Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign, dismissed the movie as “garbage” and “pure fiction which sensationalizes lies that have been long debunked.” Cheung further criticized the film, stating it “belongs in a dumpster fire.”

In response, the film’s producers defended their work, arguing that it is a “fair and balanced portrait” of the former president. They expressed a desire for audiences to see the film and form their own opinions.

As the October release date approaches, “The Apprentice” continues to be a hot topic. The film’s provocative content and the legal battles it has faced have only increased interest and discussion surrounding its release. For those eager to see the film, it is set to hit theaters in the U.S. and Canada on October 11.
