Crores of rupees were swindled in the name of system in the district's high schools: ABVP

Bachhwara (Begusarai): Under the school survey campaign by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, a survey campaign was conducted in various schools including Narepur 10+2 High School and 10+2 Rani High School of Bachhwara block on Saturday. On the occasion of the survey, former national executive member Ajit Chaudhary said that the game of corruption is being played on a large scale with the nexus of the district education office and private agency. A private agency has been given the work of cleaning toilets in schools in entire Begusarai.

In this, Rs. 100 is given per day for cleaning one toilet of a Ten Plus Two High School whereas Rs. 50 is given per day for other schools. But during the school survey campaign it was found that not even a single school is being cleaned but crores of rupees have been spent in the name of toilet cleaning. In this, the money is being distributed among the big officials of the Begusarai District Education Department in connivance with the employees of the department and private agencies.

Similarly, a private agency was given the job of night watchman in the school but till now night watchmen have not been provided in the school and illegal withdrawal has been made in their name also from the department. Vidhyarthi Parishad will protest against this. National Executive Member Purushottam Kumar present on the occasion said that on a big scale, the work of supplying thali (plates) was given to a private agency in the government school. The agency had to supply thali worth Rs. 120 but the agency supplied thali which was available in the market for Rs. 50.

Instead of educational reforms, corruption is taking place on a large scale. The Vidhyarthi Parishad will submit the entire matter to the Begusarai district officer in the form of a demand letter and will launch a phased agitation. Similarly, large scale irregularities have been committed in the benches and desks. On this occasion, Roshan Kumar, senior student leader of the Bachhwara unit said that during the survey in the government school of Bachhwara, it was found that there is a huge shortage of teachers, there are not enough classrooms in proportion to the students, the school building is in dilapidated condition, there is not enough arrangement for sports, there is no arrangement for laboratory, the Vidhyarthi Parishad will protest on all the issues in Bachhwara. On this occasion, Ankesh Kumar, Rahul Kumar, Nitish Kumar, Roshan Kumar, Ravi Kumar and others were present.
