New Smartphone to Feature 6.3-inch Flat Display and 50MP Selfie Camera, Expected to be Renamed Vivo X300 FE for International Markets.

SHENZHEN, CHINA – Chinese smartphone maker Vivo is soon preparing to launch its new smartphone, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini. This device will replace the company’s existing Vivo S30 Pro Mini, and prior to its launch, some leaks have revealed key information about its important features. According to these leaks, this smartphone may be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming and highly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which would significantly boost its performance. It is expected that this smartphone will be introduced in the international market as the Vivo X300 FE (Fan Edition).
Powerful Processor and Display
Renowned tipster Digital Chat Station revealed in a post on China’s microblogging platform Weibo that the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset as its processor. However, Qualcomm has not yet officially announced this chipset, making it a high-end processor. Earlier leaks had suggested the smartphone would feature the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, but new information points towards the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.
Regarding the display, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini may come with a 6.3-inch flat display. Previous reports had indicated that this smartphone could have an OLED screen with 1.5K resolution, which would provide an excellent visual experience.
Camera and Design
In the camera department, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini may include a periscope telephoto camera, offering enhanced zoom capabilities. This smartphone is likely to come with a triple rear camera unit. For selfies and video calls, it is expected to have a powerful 50-megapixel front camera, ensuring high-quality photos.
In terms of design and security, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini may utilize a metal frame, giving it a premium look and feel. For security, it is expected to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, providing fast and secure unlocking.
International Market Rebranding and Vivo’s Success in India
As mentioned, the Vivo S50 Pro Mini may be launched as the Vivo X300 FE in international markets. This is a well-established strategy for the company, as the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, introduced earlier this year, was also launched as the Vivo X200 FE in international markets.
Vivo’s performance in the Indian smartphone market has been consistently strong. In the third quarter of this year, Vivo retained its number one rank with approximately 20 percent market share. Vivo’s T series, V60, and Y series showed strong performance in the third quarter, further solidifying the company’s market position. Samsung also benefited from increased sales in the mid-premium segment.
Recently, Vivo launched the Vivo V60 Lite 5G. This new smartphone in the company’s V series is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor. The Vivo V60 Lite 5G comes with a 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging, making it a power-packed device. The launch of the Vivo S50 Pro Mini will further diversify the company’s product lineup and attract consumers looking for high-performance smartphones.
